India's first jewellery brand with packaging that grows back.
shred the box. plant what's inside. wait.
See how it works ↓Every box is infused with the earth.
Every pouch carries a seed.
Every order leaves something behind.
Nothing here is single-use. Not the box, not the twine, not the pouch your jewelry came in. Every layer was built to return to the soil it came from — and bring something new with it.
Every layer was made to give something back.
four pieces. all returnable. all reusable. all yours.
01
The Living Box
Kraft, infused with micronutrients and seaweed-based growth enhancers. Shred it, mix it into soil, and it feeds the ground for weeks.
02
The Seed Pouch
Organic paper, real seeds tucked inside. You won't know what they are yet — that's part of it.
03
The Organic Potli
Handwoven cotton, holds your jewelry on the way to you, and lives a second life as a pouch for anything else you love.
04
Jute & Paper Wrap
Every fiber traceable. Every thread compostable. Nothing wrapped in plastic, ever.
How to grow your box.
four steps. a little patience. a little love.
01
Shred
Tear the box into small pieces. Let it sit if you want, or use it the same day.
02
Mix
Combine it with soil in a pot. The shreds are the fertilizer.
03
Plant
Open the pouch. Tuck the seeds in. You won't know what they are yet.
04
Wait
Water it. Talk to it. Some take a week, some take three. All need a little love.
Every pouch is a surprise. Tomato, basil, marigold, chilli, mint, sunflower — small plants that don't ask for much room and mostly look after themselves. Mostly. They still need you to show up.
Why we built it this way.
When we started Born to Chamak, we knew the jewelry would be made with care. What took us longer to figure out was the box.
Most jewelry packaging is thrown away within ninety seconds of arriving. Ninety seconds. A box that someone designed, printed, shipped — sitting in a landfill before the kettle's even boiled.
We didn't want that to be the first thing you did with us. So we built a box that becomes something. And while we were at it, we made sure the jewelry inside it was made the same way — by hand, by karigars we know, with materials that don't cost the earth anything to make. Cruelty-free, traceable, made slowly.
It's a small thing. But it's the thing.
— with love,
Akshara

It's our way of saying you didn't just buy jewelry. You started something.

03
We'll send you a thank-you — more seeds, sometimes a small piece, sometimes a surprise. Always something that keeps the loop going.
@borntochamak · #BornToGrow
Every plant that grows from our box is a small reminder that beautiful things don't have to leave a mark behind. They can leave one in front of you instead.
Wear something beautiful.
Grow something beautiful.
We'll meet you in the middle.
